March 7, 2023. This is a historical month in Kenmore's history. The iconic water tower, which has been a prominent presence of the Kenmore landscape, will be coming down. The water tower hasn't been used since the 1970s. Currently, T-Mobile uses the tower for antennae. Some of you may have noticed the large crane on site yesterday. That crane was used by TMobile to take down its equipment. Just across the street, you'll see another tower, which will maintain the T-Mobile network while the deconstruction takes place. Work will begin in the next week or so (weather dependent). The first phase will involve paint removal and the second phase will see another large crane coming in to take down the structure.
