August 2019.  There are many capital projects going on throughout the Village, totaling approximately 5.3 Million.  All of these projects reflect Kenmore's on-going efforts to invest in our buildings and infrastructure.

Work is nearing completion at the Kenmore Community Center.  This project included a full asbestos removal, new HVAC, a new roof,  new energy-efficient windows, LED lighting and the installation of new handicap-accessible bathrooms.  Work also includes new flooring in the two main community spaces. The Center will re-open sometime in September. The estimated cost of this project is $1.1M.  The Water main on Wabash has been installed and work is currently in progress on Kinsey.  This project cost $1.5M  The full street reconstruction of Wardman (between Myron and Colvin) is also underway.  This project includes new water, storm and water lines, new curbs and sidewalks and repaving.  This project will cost approximately $2.5M.  The Wilber Sidewalk project started this month and includes work between Kenmore Avenue and Hoover as well as sidewalks in and around the Community Center.

While we appreciate that these projects present some inconvenience, we hope you'll "excuse our dust" knowing that each of these projects shows your tax dollars being used to improve Kenmore.
