October 5, 2018.  NYS Senator Chris Jacobs announced that he has secured $300,000 in the State budget for the Village.  This funding will be used for a sewer lining project on Warren, Euclid and Parkwood, between Myron and Delaware Avenue.  Mayor Mang, in extending his thanks to Senator Jacobs, noted that he and the Board are committed to improving the Village's infrastructure and that sewer linings eliminate leaks in the sewer lines and prevent infiltration.  The Village, in the last few years, has lined almost 5 miles of its sewer lines.  Sewer linings have been used because they are less expensive and, because they are trenchless (the street doesn't have to be excavated to access the pipe), there is little disruption to the residents.  Instead of replacing the existing pipe, a flexible liner is placed into the sewer.  The liner is expanded to fit tightly to and adhere to the sewer wall.  As a result the pipe is free of breaks and cracks and will have a useful life for as much as 100 years. The Village is most grateful to Senator Jacobs for his help in securing funding for these important infrastructure upgrades.
