Welcome to the Official Website of the Village of Kenmore. I hope that you will find this website interesting and informative. Kenmore is a special community which has received national acclaim.  It was recently named one of the “Top 10 Great Neighborhoods” in the United States!  In addition, the Village (along with the Town of Tonawanda) was named by Business Week as one of the best places in the United States to raise a family.  Both of these national awards point to the exceptional character of this Village.  My family was one of the first to settle in Kenmore so the Village has always held a special place in my heart.  Its 110 year old history is seen in its beautiful homes and architecture and in the tradition of community events, such as Kenmore Days.  There is a community pride in Kenmore that can’t be beat! Our community boasts a thriving business district, beautiful residential homes, fine schools, parks, playgrounds, and a library. The services provided by our government departments are unsurpassed.  Public safety needs are provided through the Kenmore Police Department and the Kenmore Fire Department with skill and professionalism.  Our response time is less than 2 minutes!  Residents can also take pride in the personal service and quality work provided by the Office of the Clerk/Treasurer, the Building Department and the Department of Public Works.  My fellow trustees and I take great pride in our public service to this community and we strive to promote Kenmore and to work hard for the betterment of people who live and work here.  We are working with our Department Heads and employees to meet the needs of the community, both now and in the future. Perhaps Kenmore’s greatest asset is its people.  There is a true sense of community in our Village.  The government works closely with our residents, businesses, and community organizations to promote the many services, activities, and benefits of Kenmore.  Whether it’s a holiday sing-a-long sponsored by the Merchant’s Association, the Farmers Market, or fund raising drives to benefit our troops overseas, the Kenmore community is always supportive and happy to join together.
