March 2020.  CORONAVIRUS (COVID19) INFO.  Mayor Patrick Mang has issued a State of Emergency in connection with the Coronavirus pandemic.  At this time, all municipal buildings are closed to the public and only essential personnel are working.  All essential services continue to be provided, including police, fire, recycle and trash collection.  You are asked to make sure your trash is placed in a plastic garbage bag before placing trash in the tote.  This will help to protect our employees.

Water bills can be paid by mail or by using the drop box located on the Delaware Road side of the Municipal Building.

To close out or set up new water accounts or to schedule building/electrical/plumbing/sump inspections, please call the Clerk/Treasurer's Office at 873-5700 between 8 AM - noon.

It's so important, especially living in a densely populated Village, that we all do everything we can to avoid the spread of the virus.  This includes staying inside your home, social distancing of at least 6 feet, constant hand washing, and avoid putting your hands near your mouth, nose or eyes.  If you have any symptoms of Coronavirus, please CALL your doctor for instructions and isolate yourself from your family and the public.

Please see the Announcement tab (in red) above to get more information about the COVID19 virus, including resources for small business loans, unemployment and meals.

December 10, 2019.  LEAF COLLECTION INFORMATION.  The DPW will no longer be collecting loose leaves raked onto the right of way (area between the curb and sidewalk) for this year.  Please place any leaves in your tote for collection on your regular pick up date.  Please remember that property owners are responsible for snow and ice removal from the sidewalks in front of their property.  We appreciate your help with keeping fire hydrants clear of snow.

November 5 2019.  The Kenmore Community Center Renovation has been completed.  This $1.2M project included a new roof, new HVAC, new windows and LED lighting, a full asbestos removal, and improvements to the kitchen.  In addition, four new handicap-accessible restrooms were installed. Sidewalks were also repairs around the building. The Sr. Nutrition Program, which provides hot lunches M-F to our seniors is up and running and the seniors are enjoying the new space.  The Village provides van service to/from the program for a good-will donation of $1 round trip.  Advance registration is required both for the van and meal service.  Any seniors interested in this program should call 873-5700 or 346-5800.

September 2019.  Wardman Avenue Street Reconstruction is moving forward with the street being "blocked" (removal of curbs and driveway aprons, grading of the street) in preparation of flatwork.  Flatwork includes leveling the site, installation of new curbs, electric conduit, and sidewalks.  This work will begin the first or second week of October, weather permitting. Work on paving of the street can begin once the curbs are in place.  Substantial Completion is set for November 1.   Crews are now working Monday through Saturday.  Property remediation and tree planting will take place after the winter.

The Community Center is also nearing completion. All HVAC, LED lighting, flooring, bathrooms and landscaping are completed.  New windows have been installed.  Work is being done on the kitchen space.  We plan on reopening the Center and welcoming back our Seniors to the Nutrition Program sometime in October.

The Kenmore Farmers Market continues each Sunday 9 AM - 1 PM on the Village Green (corner of Delaware Rd and Delaware Avenue).  Now that Fall is here, come out and enjoy all the apples!

The Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Open House at the Fire Department - 16 Nash Road on October 12th, 11 AM - 2 PM.  We are always looking for new volunteers!  Please come out and learn more about the Fire Department!
